Made from an antique oak desk—with lots of rebuilding. Notice the pyramid corners on the island top! Wood added to back to create a finished look. Drawer fronts are original with new shelves (rear portion is stained birch) and center section added. New drawer glides built. Glass knobs just for fun. Stain is a 1:3 mix of Special Walnut (pops that oak grain) and Provincial. I would call it a medium oak.
